The Cable Television industry was conceived in the late 1940's in Oregon and Pennsylvania. A few years later, in 1953, the first Cable Television system in Wyoming became operational in Casper, Wyoming, and also has the honor of having the first Cable Television system to be fed by microwave.

Today there are 62 Cable Television systems in Wyoming serving over 101,00 homes. Employees The Wyoming Cable Television industry employs over 250 people throughout Wyoming and has an annual payroll of over 8 million in salaries. Community Involvement The WCTA contributes significant resources to support civic and community-based projects. In addition,

WCTA employees donate both time and money to local and national charities. The Wyoming Cable and Television Association contribute significant resources to support civic and community-based projects. In addition, WCTA employees donate both time and money to local and national charities.
