Cable Television

The Cable Television industrywas conceived in the late 1940's in Oregon and Pennsylvania. A few years later, in 1953,

the first Cable Television system in Wyoming became operational in Casper, Wyoming, and also has the honor of having the first Cable Television system to be fed by microwave. The Wyoming cable television industry took its first steps in 1953 to bring television to people who lived in areas that were unable to receive conventional broadcast signals. Since those early days, the industry has grown into a thriving telecommunications force.
